Why Couples Drift:
Understanding the Pattern Behind Disconnection

A FREE 1‑hour workshop for couples who love each other… but feel further apart than they expected.

Something has quietly shifted. You’re not fighting all the time. You’re not in crisis. From the outside, things look fine - maybe even really good. But the closeness you used to feel doesn’t come as easily anymore. This workshop is for couples who are good at life together, but who’ve started to feel the distance: the careful conversations, the missed moments, the sense of living parallel lives instead of connected ones. You still love each other. That’s not the question. The question is: how did we get here? And is this just what happens?

What You'll Learn:

In one hour, you’ll get a clear, grounded understanding of:

  • Why smart, loving couples drift (it’s not what most people think)

  • The predictable cycle underneath most relationship disconnection

  • What’s actually happening emotionally for both partners

  • Why this pattern is so hard to see (and even harder to break) from the inside

  • What begins to shift when couples understand the pattern together

This isn’t therapy. It’s not a communication workshop. It’s a map - one most couples have never been given.

Details:

  • Date: Sunday, April 26th at 8pm EST

  • Live on Zoom — completely anonymous (cameras + mics off)

  • 1 hour of teaching, reflection, and Q&A

  • Free to attend

  • Designed for couples in NC, MD, and FL

  • Hosted by Tara Gogolinski, LMFT, couples therapist with 15 years of experience

Who This Is For:

This workshop is for you if:

  • You love your partner, but something has quietly shifted

  • You’ve tried talking about it and keep ending up in the same place

  • You’re not in crisis — but you want more than what you currently have

  • You’re curious about therapy but not sure if you’re “there yet”

You don’t need to be falling apart to benefit from this.
You just need to want something different than the distance you’ve been feeling.

Meet Tara

I’m a couples therapist based in Raleigh, NC, working with high‑achieving couples and individuals across North Carolina, Maryland, and Florida. My approach is warm, direct, and grounded in evidence‑based models like EFT and IBCT.I’ve sat with hundreds of couples in exactly the place you may be in now — capable, caring, and stuck in a pattern they’ve never been taught to see. This workshop is the conversation I wish every couple could have before the distance becomes harder to bridge.
